Northern Boundary Section Fall Regional Conference

Our fall conference will be held this year at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Conference events will be held in the Performing Arts Center and nearby classrooms (campus map is here).

Please join us Friday evening, Saturday morning and afternoon for a weekend of theater sessions and activities at Mankato.
Events:
• "Cover the Walls"-
Students, faculty, staff, and theatre professionals- SHOW US YOUR DESIGN WORK or TECHNICAL SOLUTION! This is an open invitation for designers to exhibit their work and share with fellow artists their ideas and approaches to design and technical production. Student display work will be entered into a juried competition with scholarship awards for free registration to the USITT National Conference in March 2018. (See Guidelines for Exhibiting and Tech Solution Guidelines). Setup begins at 6pm on Friday.
• Theatre Performance Why Torture is Wrong, and the People Who Love Them "Christopher Durang turns political humor upside down with this raucous and provocative satire about America's growing homeland 'insecurity". Andreas Theatre in Performing Arts Center.
Friday evening beginning at 7:30pm. Arrive anytime after 6pm for socializing in the lobby.
• NBS Reception Friday Evening following Theatre Performance (9:30pm)
• Northern Boundary Section membership meeting
Saturday Morning, (9am).
• Conference Sessions:
Saturday Morning 10am-12:30pm and Afternoon 1:45-4:30pm in and around the Theatre on campus.
Select from sessions on portfolio review, make-up, scenery automation, shop safety, architectural lighting, programming movers, adaptive audio sound, projection mapping, technology tour of the Centennial Ballroom, resumes and more.
Final Wrap-up session 4:30pm on Saturday. Design Awards will be announced.

Friday Night beginning at 6pm, & Saturday morning 8am to 9am with continental breakfast provided to get us all going! Wrap-up session Saturday afternoon to be done by 4:45pm.

• Individual Member of USITT NBS $20
(Non-members- add $15 for membership)
• Student Member $5
(Non-Member students- add $5 for membership)
Students participating in the Design Exhibit will have the registration fee waived, but still must be a student member.

• Sustaining Member designated individual No Fee
• Contributing Member two designated individuals No Fee

NOTE – On campus event parking will be available during the conference. Campus Parking lots are open Friday afternoon and all day Saturday. Overnight parking in the lots is normally not allowed.
