Shop Foreman/Master Carpenter (PART-TIME)--Saint Mary's University of MN, Winona Campus.
Start date August 15, 2014
Looking for a recent graduate of a BA or BFA Technical Theatre Program to work in concert with the faculty scenic designer/technical director to instruct and supervise students in the building and painting of scenery and props for SMU productions. This person must be preset during open hours of the scene shop, load-ins, and strikes of the departmental productions. Desirable skills are drafting (Vectorworks or CAD), theatrical carpentry, welding, rigging, demonstrated experience in working with/leading student crews, and a positive, collaborative attitude. Will be expected to monitor and perform maintenance/repairs on scene shop machinery, tools, and storage areas.
