Rebecca hails from Kansas City where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Rockhurst University/Research College of Nursing (2000), Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri - Kansas City (2005), and Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing from the University of Missouri - Kansas City (2010).
Prior to joining St. Olaf's Nursing Department, Rebecca served as faculty, Director of Academic-Clinical Practice Partnerships, Director of the Accelerated BSN Program, Dean, and Provost at Research College of Nursing. Under her leadership, the college was awarded the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Exemplary Academic-Practice Partnership Award (2016). She is a Certified Nurse Educator and serves as a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education program evaluator.
