I am a proud 2007 St. Olaf alumna with a B.A. in Psychology and Family Studies, along with a strong background in Human Development and Education. Currently serving as the Assistant Director of TRIO Student Support Services at St. Olaf College, I have spent nearly five years enhancing and expanding the advising structure within our program to better support first-generation, low-income, and underrepresented students.
With a deep commitment to student success, I have led initiatives to improve individualized student planning (ISP), integrated holistic advising approaches, and strengthened campus partnerships to ensure equitable access to resources. My dedication to professional growth has been evident through my active participation in national TRIO conferences, leadership training, and ongoing professional development in areas such as trauma-informed advising and student retention strategies.
Some of my key achievements include:
- Program Development: Spearheaded enhancements to TRIO SSS advising models, improving student engagement and retention.
- Mentorship & Advocacy: Successfully guided students through academic planning, graduate school preparation, and career readiness, including first-generation students pursuing competitive fields.
- Institutional Impact: Played a key role in developing and refining processes that support students academically, personally, and professionally.
I am passionate about fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where students can thrive, and I look forward to continuing this work at St. Olaf College.
