Configuring Ubuntu Linux for the St. Olaf Wireless Network

Follow these instructions to connect a computer running Ubuntu Linux to the St. Olaf wireless network. Other Linux distributions are similar but probably won't exactly match the screen shots below.

  1. Click on the NetworkManager applet and click St. Olaf.



  2. In the Wireless Network Authentication Required window, enter the following information:

    Wireless security: "WPA & WPA2 Enterprise"
    Authentication: "Protected EAP (PEAP)"
    Inner authentication: "MSCHAPv2"
    Username: Enter your St. Olaf username
    Password: Enter your St. Olaf password





  3. Click Connect.
  4. If you receive a warning that "No Certificate Authority certificate chosen", click Ignore.



  5. You will be connected to the St. Olaf wireless network.
