about SOMUN

The Saint Olaf Model United Nations Club (SOMUN) seeks to facilitate student participation in various off-campus Model United Nations conferences that simulate diplomatic bodies of the United Nations and other multilateral organizations. Students take on the role of delegate representing a given nation with the ultimate goal of negotiating toward international cooperation. SOMUN will also seek to promote international political awareness and United States/United Nations relations on-campus. We will be attending the American Model United Nations International Conference in Chicago, IL, November 17th-20th 2007.

For the remainder of the the '06/'07 Semester II, we will meet every two weeks at 9:00pm in Buntrock Room 143, the next meeting on 5/2/07. Meeting times are subject to change.
