Drop/Add and Wait List Procedures for Semester I, 09-10

During the academic year, drop/adds are processed at the Registrar’s Office during window hours:
Monday –
Friday 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
CLOSED
daily during Chapel and Tuesdays, 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. for staff meetings
Summer
hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. –
3:30 p.m., and Fridays 8:30 a.m. – noon
An Independent Study/Research, Internship, or Audit may not be added without the completed paperwork.
ACADEMIC YEAR 2009-10
ADDING
an OPEN course:

Through Thursday, September 3rd – NOON - no
instructor signature is required to add a course
o
Adds are processed at the Registrar’s window year round
during window hours (see above)
o
Drop/adds are NOT accepted via e-mail if a currently
registered student is on campus
o
E-mail requests for adds are available:

May 21st– September 3rd at noon for Semester I,
2009-10
§
December 22nd – January 1st, 2010 at
noon for Interim, 2009-10
§
February 1st – February 5th at noon
for Spring, 2009-10

E-mail request cannot cause a time conflict or overload
·
E-mail requests to add CLOSED courses are not valid
ADDING a CLOSED course:

Instructor signature is required to add a closed course
DROPPING a course
·

E-mail requests are NOT valid during the academic year (except for the dates noted above)
No drop/adds will be processed after noon on Thursday, September 3rd until Tuesday, September 8th at 2:00 p.m. Starting Wednesday, September 9th signatures will be needed to add and drop all courses.
Off-Campus Programs
Students who are currently
enrolled in off-campus programs may add OPEN courses and DROP courses
via e-mail after registration and before the first day of class while the
student is on a St. Olaf - approved off-campus program.
