The mission of Institutional Research and Evaluation (IR&E) is to provide data, reports, and research that support institutional planning, strengthen student learning, and promote understanding of the nature and quality of education at St. Olaf College.
The vision of IR&E is to be a national leader among liberal arts institutions in institutional research and the assessment of student learning.

- Institutional Data, Reports, and Information: A re-design of the former IR site, this website provides primarily public data and information concerning all aspects of life and work at St. Olaf including the Common Data Set, student and employee profiles, data about our graduates and alumni, financial summaries, and links to more general information about our institution.
- Assessment of Student Learning: A wealth of information about how we assess student learning at St. Olaf, current projects, who is involved, and data and reports from various assessment instruments.
- Evaluation of Teaching: Information for faculty to conduct student course evaluations and for department chairs to conduct student evaluations of teaching for faculty reviews.
- Survey Design and Data Collection: Help for survey development, including external links to futher resources.
- Archives: Connecting to the Institutional Data website, this links to data and reports at least three years old in all categories.
