Economics (Management Studies Program) - Three-year Term Appointment in Accounting
The Department of Economics (Management Studies Program) invites applications for a three-year term appointment teaching accounting, with the option for renewal, to begin in fall 2014. A Masters Degree or higher in accounting or an appropriate related field, preferably from an AACSB accredited program, is strongly preferred. A CPA and related professional experience are highly desirable. Normal teaching load is six courses per year. The successful candidate will have strong accounting skills, a commitment to liberal arts education, and the promise to develop into an excellent teacher/mentor both in and out of the classroom. He/she has the opportunity to design and teach an intermediate accounting course that combines managerial accounting and accounting systems. Committed to a broad vision of vocation and the liberal arts, Management Studies faculty also work closely with promising students from a wide variety of majors to design internships, undergraduate research projects, and individual (student-developed) majors.
