Stewardship

Welcome to the Office of Stewardship, where on behalf of St. Olaf College our staff stewards donors on their gifts through acknowledgement, recognition, and reporting.

Acknowledgement
All gifts to St. Olaf are acknowledged quickly, accurately and appropriately to let donors know that their financial support is gratefully received, vital to our campus community, and being used according to their stated wishes and expectations.

Recognition
St. Olaf recognizes its donors in various ways through gift programs, personal visits, individual invitations to campus, special events both on- and off-campus, St. Olaf alumni magazine, web site, etc. We want our donors to know that they are appreciated!

Endowed Fund Reporting
Many donors have established endowed funds such as scholarships, professorships, internships, fellowships, and faculty development funds. Reporting on the financial status and performance of many of these funds assures each donor that his or her gift has been invested wisely and its full value is being distributed appropriately.

St. Olaf abides by the industry-standard Donor Bill of Rights.
