Class Fund Agents
Being a Class Fund Agent offers an opportunity to connect with classmates while generating enthusiasm for St. Olaf and Partners in Annual Giving. Currently, more than 200 Class Fund Agents from the Class of 1941 to the Class of 2008 work with the Partners office throghout the year to encourage their classmates to make annual unrestricted gifts.
Responsibilities include:
- Attend the annual Volunteer Summit on the Hill on
Saturday, August 15, 2009. - Make an early financial commitment to Partners.
- Help recruit additional volunteers.
- Assist in writing/editing the fall and spring solicitation letters.
- Contact 15-20 classmates via phone, email, or mail to encourage participation in Partners in Annual Giving.
- Maintain regular communication with Partners staff by reporting solicitation results and passing along biographical information that may be of interest to the college such as changes in address, employment, or marital status, etc.
- Thank assigned prospects for their time, regardless if a gift was given or not.
Reunion Volunteers
Each year, more than 250 alumni are involved in an effort to encourage greater participation and giving in honor of their class 5-year milestone anniversaries. In addition to encourageing their classmates to participate in the Partners in Annual Giving reunion gift campaign, these volunteer committees plan their reunion weekend.
Responsibilities include:
- Attend the annual Volunteer Summit on the Hill.
- Help set reunion gift dollar and participation goals, and develop strategies to achieve them.
- Make an early financial commitment to Partners.
- Help plan class-specific reunion events amidst the college-hosted events already planned.
- Help create publicity materials, including a class-specific letter, reunion questionnaire, and Save-the-Date card.
- Contact 15-20 classmates via phone, email, or mail to encourage participation in Partners in Annual Giving and the reunion festivities.
- Send thank you notes to classmates who send gifts (stationary and postage can be provided).
- Attend reunion festivities - where your only job is to catch up with classmates and have fun!
