As you may know, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is restructuring GivingPlus, their matching gift program.

GivingPlus, in its current form, officially ends December 31, 2009, or whenever the 2009 funding runs out - whichever comes first.  As of Friday, October 23, 87.49% of GivingPlus funds have been distributed.  Once the 2009 budget is spent, no more GivingPlus funding will be available.

If you have given/will give to the annual fund this calendar year (January 1 – December 31, 2009), you can take advantage of a generous matching gift through the Thrivent Giving Plus program. 

Last year, St. Olaf donors affiliated with Thrivent Financial gave an additional $125,000 by taking advantage of this unique opportunity through Thrivent Financial.

Eligibility
Only Thrivent Financial benefit members and individuals who own Thrivent Mutual Fund accounts or Thrivent Life Insurance Company products will be eligible to participate in the GivingPlus program.

Maximum match of $300
Thrivent will contribute $1 for every $2 given up to $600.

All gifts—of any amount—qualify
No minimum gift amount is required.

Gifts over $600 may be eligible for a special match
Because of how household gifts are processed, each member of your family may receive the full match benefit.  If your family has multiple Thrivent members, each member should fill out the GivingPlus form.

Volunteer bonus!
Thrivent values volunteerism.  If you volunteer for St. Olaf, please check the box on the form so the college receives an additional $25.

Please submit your completed Thrivent form as soon as possible! Thrivent budgets limited funds for the GivingPlus program annually.

In order to be eligible for a 2009 match, St. Olaf must receive your gift by December 31, 2009 and your GivingPlus form by January 8, 2010.
