Chris Pappas
Chris Pappas received his BA from Bard College (Sociology with a Concentration in Multicultural and Ethnic Studies), and his MA from the University of Minnesota, where he is currently finishing his PhD (Sociology). His research interests are varied, but focus generally on the sociologies of race, culture, sexualities, and social theory. His dissertation concerns racial and cultural elements of the Twin Cities hip hop scene. He spends his non-teaching time either doing research at hip hop shows or buying records.
