These service programs, two of the largest AmeriCorps programs in the country, plan to place hundreds of recent college graduates in preschools, elementary schools and middle schools across the state. They serve as Literacy and Math Tutors for students who have fallen behind their peers, get trained in researched based instructional methods and build their professional skills; all while helping at-risk students in reading and math.
