Thrivent Financial

Thrivent Financial in Minneapolis has openings for actuarial interns and a full-time actuarial position.

To find the descriptions and submit an application, go to http://www.thrivent.com/careers/ and click on 'Search Jobs', 'Search openings', select 'Actuarial' and then 'Search'. You can apply directly from the job description. Both positions have an open-ended application deadline so I recommend applying early.

Epic

We’re hiring tons of people at Epic right now and we’re in search of talented young professionals. What better place to find these people then the St. Olaf math department? Our mission is to help hospitals and clinics improve how they take care of patients. We're recognized across the country as a leader in the field, and we've seen rapid growth every year for more than a decade.

All that growth means that we're constantly looking for smart, motivated people like your students. We provide on-the-job training for both technical and non-technical positions, and we welcome people from all educational backgrounds and majors. We have technical positions available in Software Development, Technical Services and Systems; non-technical positions are available in Project Management, Software Testing, Training, and several other areas.

Epic is one of the world’s premier developers of healthcare software. If you haven’t heard of Epic, don’t be surprised – Forbes recently referred to us as the “Silent Giant” of the electronic medical records industry. We create and implement a wide range of integrated software solutions for many of the largest healthcare organizations in the country and around the world. Our software improves patient care and reduces costs. We have grown steadily over the last 30 years, and currently our software is used to care for about 80 million people across the United States alone. That means if you choose to work for Epic, your work will impact about 25% of our country’s population.
