Career/Education: Kevin Rusk '06 graduated from St. Olaf with a Bachelor's Degree in English, and joined the St. Olaf Admissions staff after working at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. At St. Olaf he was a founding member of the St. Olaf crew club, sang in the St. Olaf Cantorei and played intramural Ultimate Frisbee. He also served as a Junior Counselor in Hoyme Residence Hall. Kevin studied off-campus in Budapest for an advanced math interim, and in South Africa where he studied that country's history and varied religions. He was also an intern with the Lutheran Coalition for Public Policy in Minnesota, in a program called Congregations Caring for Creation.
“St. Olaf fosters strong relationships. As a student here, you will have the chance to build close, lasting relationships with talented professors and fellow students alike in labs and recital halls, in travels abroad or on an intramural kickball field. You might also discover the relationships between theology and biology, dance and computers or wind-power and sculpture.”
Personal:Kevin grew up in Richfield, Minnesota. His hobbies include alpine skiing, camping, cooking, listening to past recordings of the St. Olaf Christmas Festival and playing an occasional game of tennis. Kevin is most content when he can read through one issue of The New Yorker before the next one shows up in his mailbox.
